How did brands like Apple, Nike, Airbnb, and Uber do it?
I’ll tell you.
But first, do you know the cheapest words in the English language?
That is, unless you keep it.
Keeping promises is (or should be) fairly standard in building a business
But if you want to build something better, something remarkable, like the brands I mentioned above…
If you want to build your own, unique, authentic brand – one that stands out among the crowd (of the million other coaches, experts, and entrepreneurs out there), one that leaves a legacy
…Making and keeping promises just isn’t good enough
So what’s the secret?
Seth Godin says a brand is “what story people tell when they speak about you”
So if you want to build a strong brand (that is, a strong story being told about you by your people), you gotta say, “I promise”…
And then provide such an extraordinary experience that your people can’t help but tell others.
That’s it. That simple.
That’s how the big, famous brands did it (before they were famous)
What are you promising your people?
Are you giving them a remarkable story to tell others?
